Ellen den Dulk, owner of New Creation Tailors, has brought her education and professional experience to the Greater Prescott Area, offering tailor and seamstress services.

Though she and her family are Dutch, Ellen was born in Oranjestad, Aruba, and spent her early years traveling with her family to Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, Sweden and Saudi Arabia, thanks to her father’s job as an oil engineer with Exxon-Mobil. Right after high school, Ellen decided to attend the Technische School voor Mode en Kleding in Amsterdam, Netherlands, a university comparable to America’s Fashion Institute of New York. There she obtained her degree in both business management and tailoring.

Ellen came to the United States in 1989 and made Arizona her home in 2004. Seeing the area’s need for more experienced, personalized tailoring, Ellen decided to start New Creation Tailors. New Creation brings to the quad cities excellence in alterations, but more importantly a local source for high-end home décor accessories such as draperies, shades, slip covers, pillows, and, of course, tailored clothing, all hand-made with her classically trained European flair.
